Waldron’s team worked closely with the Time to Care Coalition to make Maryland the 10th state to pass Paid Family and Medical Leave. This bill means Maryland workers will be able to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave (or up to 24 weeks in certain situations) to care for family members or themselves. We were proud to provide communications services to a coalition that Maryland Matters described as “smart, strategic, and indefatigable”! Our strategy was to keep the issue front and center throughout the session. We created a comprehensive communications campaign, including robust social media campaigns, op-eds, fact sheets, editorials, earned media, and legislative actions. Our work included:
